Jesus made a point in his ministry that children in Church should not be seen as an inconvenience until they are old enough to engage intellectually and instead said:
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
We want to care for, nurture, encourage, teach and demonstrate God’s love, grace and purpose for all our lives and recognise that most children will be helped by having a separate space to meet during the sermon.
At present we run three groups for the children aged 0-16 yrs who attend our Sunday morning worship time. These are ‘Little Gems’ (for babies to 4 yrs), ‘Searchlight’ (for 4-10 yrs) and ‘Soul Light’ (for 11+ yrs). We also regularly put on special events for during the year.
