Coronavirus Update

Updated Thursday 29th October 2020

Tier 2 Time!

As you know, Staffordshire will move up to the high Covid alert level, also known as tier 2, on the morning of Saturday 31st October. Whilst this brings frustration and confusion, I hope you will join us in praying that this is an effective measure in stopping the rise in Covid cases in our district.

You will be pleased to know that our Sunday church services can continue as they have been since the start of September. The same restrictions will apply as before, including wearing face masks, using hand gel, keeping social distance, no singing and the shorter service format. We will continue live-streaming the morning services. We will also be able to go ahead with our worship evening on 7th November.

There are some changes, however, mainly the rule that households can’t mix in indoor settings. For RCC, this means:

  • You can’t socialise with other households in the hall, so please exit after the Sunday service where you can still ‘mix in a six’ outside
  • Social groups like the men’s group and Swans cannot meet face-to-face indoors
  • Prayer meetings can continue if there is no socialising between households

You can find out more information here or talk to one of the Leadership Team.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday at the Centre or by joining us on YouTube.

God bless,
Rugeley Community Church Leadership Team
